<p>Summary</p> <p>Missouri Baptist University is looking to hire an Adult Health Clinical Adjunct This position is a part-time clinical teaching professional that under the direction and supervision of the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Nursing, the adjunct clinical nursing faculty instructs students by planning, coordinating, and implementing instruction in the skills lab, simulation, affiliated clinical organization, and/or classroom setting. The adjunct faculty is an extension of the lead course faculty.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities</p> <p>Within the limits of authorized University policies, procedures, programs, and budgets, the Clinical Adjunct Faculty of the School of Nursing is responsible for and has commensurate authority to accomplish the following:</p> <ul> <li>Instruct students by planning, coordinating, and implementing instruction in the skills lab, simulation, affiliated clinical organizations, and/or classroom setting. </li><li>Meet with lead course faculty at the beginning of each semester to orient to the course and review student learning outcomes, course syllabus, and learning resources. </li><li>Orient students to the assigned affiliated clinical organization. </li><li>Supervises nursing students in the clinical environment. </li><li>Evaluates the clinical performance of the student. </li><li>Keep adequate records of grades, attendance, clinical performance, and anecdotal notes on nursing students. </li><li>Provide feedback about the adequacy of the clinical site in allowing students to meet course outcomes to the lead course faculty. </li><li>Attend nursing faculty meetings as able. </li><li>Keep current evidence of license and education on file with the School of Nursing. </li><li>Maintain current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification and remain up to date on any other immunizations required by the clinical organization. </li><li>Maintain professional competence and participate in professional development activities (4 continuing education credits per year). </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements/Certifications/Licensure</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing with a plan to pursue a master's in nursing </li><li>Experience: At least three years of full-time clinical nursing experience. </li><li>Licensure: Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Missouri. </li><li>Certifications: Current healthcare provider CPR certification; up-to-date on any other required immunizations as specified by the clinical organization. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education/Experience</p> <p>Master's degree in nursing.</p> <p>How to Apply</p> <p>Applicants should electronically submit the following items to Heidi Moore, Document Coordinator (Heidi.Moore@mobap.edu)</p> <ul> <li>Cover letter expressing interest in the position, highlighting experience relevant to the role. </li><li>Current resume </li><li>Statement of Faith which should clearly explain your view of scripture, salvation, church membership and participation, and your personal relationship with Jesus Christ in keeping with the evangelical mission of Missouri Baptist University, and include a statement that you have read and agree with the Baptist Faith and Message. </li></ul>
