<p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assumes the responsibilities as head Coach in the absence </li></ul> <p>of the Head Coach.</p> <ul> <li>Directs and assumes responsibility for the area of the program </li></ul> <p>assigned by the Head Coach</p> <ul> <li>Supports the Head Coach in conducting the athletic program </li></ul> <p>of that particular sport and the total athletic program.</p> <ul> <li>Is loyal to the coach and to the team. A First Assistant Coach </li></ul> <p>generally must give up some of his/her own thoughts to conform</p> <p>to the overall pattern as set forth by the Head Coach.</p> <ul> <li>Assists the head Coach in a manner which will be most </li></ul> <p>beneficial to the entire program.</p> <ul> <li>Assumes the responsibility for the development and guidance </li></ul> <p>of a specific team within the total program as assigned</p> <p>by the Head Coach.</p> <ul> <li>Attends all meetings requested by the Athletic administrator </li></ul> <p>or Head Coach.</p> <ul> <li>Covers scouting trips requested by the Head Coach. </li><li>Assists the Head Coach in checking in all equipment at the </li></ul> <p>end of the season.</p> <ul> <li>Abides by the Athletic Department policies and operating </li></ul> <p>procedures</p> <ul> <li>Performs other coaching-related duties as directed by the </li></ul> <p>Head Coach, Athletic Administrator or Principal.</p>
