<p>For over 40 years, JANUS et Cie has been an industry leader in design-driven furnishings for outdoors. The luxury lifestyle brand is now seeking a Sr. Director of Product Design & Development. This role will be based out of our production facility in Santa Fe Springs, CA.</p> <p>The Senior Director of Design & Development plays a critical role in shaping the future of JANUS et Cie's luxury outdoor collections through visionary product and collection design, rendering, visualizations, and design leadership.</p> <p>This role will oversee the rendering and visualization efforts for all product design, digital and marketing collateral. As such this person will play a leading role in assortment logic and intentional development, from concept through sampling with a strong emphasis on high-quality rendering and architectural visualization.</p> <p>The ideal candidate possesses advanced design software capabilities, strong project management acumen, and deep experience in furniture, product development, interior design and/or architecture.</p> <p>Salary Range $150k-$160k</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure all product renderings meet best-in-class visualization and photorealistic standards using 2D, 3D, CAD, and Adobe Suite </li><li>Manage a team of designers, renders, modelers, and/or development specialists, ensuring creative excellence and project efficiency </li><li>Guide design reviews and present new ways to visualize our products to internal stakeholders and licensing partners </li><li>Collaborate with the SVP of Product Design & Development to establish seasonal collection strategies </li><li>Oversee architectural-scale projects and develop special solutions for hospitality, residential, and contract clients </li><li>Maintain the digital asset library and oversee standards for CAD and technical drawing documentation </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in product design and development within the furniture, architecture, or luxury goods sector </li><li>Expert proficiency in 3D modeling, product rendering, and Adobe Creative Suite </li><li>Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and production processes for indoor/outdoor applications </li><li>Degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, or related field required </li><li>Experience in architectural project collaboration or custom solutions highly preferred </li><li>Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across disciplines and time zones </li><li>Certification as a California Interior Designer (preferred) </li><li>Preferred: Background in both residential and commercial design </li><li>Preferred: Experience leading or mentoring junior and senior designers </li><li>Preferred: A refined eye for color, texture, and composition </li><li>Preferred: A portfolio that demonstrates creativity, versatility, and technical precision </li><li>Preferred: Excellent at working across multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities </li></ul> <p>REFLECTS OUR BRAND VALUES:</p> <ul> <li>We listen to our Customers </li><li>We rely on our Members </li><li>We honor Integrity </li><li>We embrace Continuous Learning </li><li>We lead with Design </li><li>We create Value </li><li>We make the World Better </li></ul>
