<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Individualized Learning Centers Student Care Worker (ILC SCW) (Job ID 1115)</p> <p>Full Time/Academic Calendar 185 Days & Extended School Year 23 Days</p> <p>New Milford Public Schools</p> <p>EdAdvance is seeking a qualified applicant to provide behavioral and instructional support</p> <p>Major Responsibilities & Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Provide instructional support across general and special education classes </li><li>Implement behavioral prevention and management strategies individualized to student needs </li><li>Collection and on-going maintenance of behavioral data collection </li><li>Ability to assist with hygiene (i.e. toileting) routines </li><li>Proactive and consistent communication with student's school team </li><li>Availability to work specified school hours and attend all required meetings and trainings </li><li>Experience in de-escalation techniques or willingness to be trained </li><li>Other duties as assigned by supervising Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must meet Federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) paraeducator standards:</p> </li><li> <p>High School diploma or GED diploma AND</p> </li><li> <p>Two years of college credit, OR</p> </li><li> <p>An Associate's (or higher) degree, OR</p> </li><li> <p>Pass the State Board of Education adopted paraeducation assessment, (ParaPro) which assesses content knowledge in mathematics, reading, writing and an understanding of how to assist in the instructions of these topics.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience working in a public-school setting</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent professionalism and communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated responsibility, reliability, and dependability</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to safely perform physical restraint techniques when necessary</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a valid CT driver's license and maintain active vehicle insurance</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Hourly compensation based on experience (up to $24.35) </li><li>Competitive health benefits package </li><li>Personal and sick time </li><li>Continuing education stipend </li><li>On-going RBT supervision hours provided by supervising BCBA </li></ul> <p>The ILC SCW works under the supervision of the New Milford Public Schools Board Certified Behavior Analyst</p> <p>Application Procedure:</p> <p>Applications should be submitted for consideration by visiting EdAdvance's employment page at, http://edadvance.org/about-us/employment, and click on the APPLY button next to the job posting of interest.</p> <p>Human Resources</p> <p>EdAdvance</p> <p>P.O.
