<p>Job Title Student Tech Assistant Fall 2025 Department Campus Technology Services Job Description/Duties</p> <ul> <li>Visit college employees for problem solving or equipment delivery/pickup. </li><li>Perform simple installations and updates on user's computers. </li><li>Assist with computer equipment moves. </li><li>Maintain complete inventory of computers and related hardware. </li><li>Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve simple hardware and software requests received via walk in, phone, or ticket. </li><li>Performs routine clerical work; answer and attend to telephone calls; maintain records, operate office machines (such as copiers), sort and distribute mail. </li></ul> <p>Days/Hours Needed</p> <p>Flexible scheduling from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. 20 hours per week max.</p> <p>Campus Location/Bldg.</p> <p>Old Main, B-10</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be a current SUNY Cortland student. </li><li>No experience necessary! </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Good customer service skills. </li><li>Self-confidence and a good work ethic. </li><li>Ability to proactively identify tasks that need to be done. </li><li>Work well in a team. </li><li>Be eager to learn - no prior computer knowledge needed. </li><li>Hold valid NYS license. </li><li>Be either a first-year or sophomore (this position can be long-term, for your entire college career) </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. </li><li>Lifting, carrying, setting up computers (crawling around desks and tables). </li><li>Moving printers, computers and monitors. </li></ul> <p>Special Conditions for Eligibility Contact Name(s) & Email(s)</p> <p>Sophia Weber sophia.weber@cortland.edu</p> <p>Salary Grade B-$16.00/hr.
