<p>Vascular Ultrasound Tech - Vascular Surgery</p> <p>Full Time Benefits Eligible</p> <p>Shift: Full Time - 40 Hours - Day Shift, Weekends Included</p> <p>Location: Detroit Main Campus - 2799 W. Grand Blvd Detroit MI 48202</p> <p>General Summary</p> <p>Under general supervision, the Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs a variety of vascular diagnostic procedures utilizing ultrasound and vascular physiologic testing equipment, as ordered by a physician. This role functions in accordance with department protocols and standard operating procedures, while exercising independent judgment and critical thinking to support accurate diagnosis and high-quality patient care.</p> <p>Principal Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Performs vascular ultrasound and physiologic studies on arterial and venous systems </li><li>Utilizes Doppler and related technologies to evaluate blood flow and identify abnormalities </li><li>Prepares patients for procedures and explains exams to ensure comfort and understanding </li><li>Accurately captures, reviews, and documents diagnostic data for physician interpretation </li><li>Maintains equipment functionality and ensures proper use of imaging technology </li><li>Adheres to established department protocols, quality standards, and safety guidelines </li><li>Collaborates effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams </li><li>Provides patient-centered care aligned with organizational values </li></ul> <p>Education / Experience Required</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required </li><li>Completion of an accredited ultrasound or vascular technology program preferred </li><li>1-2 years of vascular ultrasound experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Certifications / Licensures Required</p> <p>Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li>Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - ARDMS </li><li>Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - CCI </li><li>OR registry-eligible at time of hire </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>RVT or RVS certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire </li><li>BLS or Heartsaver CPR AED certification required upon hire </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Organization: Henry Ford Medical Group </li><li>Department: Surgery - Vascular Lab </li><li>Shift: Day Job </li><li>Union Code: Not Applicable </li></ul>
