The instructor will design and implement curricula that equip adult learners with the skills necessary to excel in today's competitive job market.</p> <p>What you will be doing</p> <ul> <li>Provides instruction in workforce development programs designed to upskill adult learners </li><li>Develops and delivers curriculum focused on industry-specific certifications and job readiness </li><li>Facilitates interactive classroom discussions and hands-on activities </li><li>Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback </li><li>Stays updated with current industry trends to ensure course content remains relevant </li><li>Maintains accurate records of attendance and student performance </li><li>Develops and delivers workforce-aligned instructional materials for adult learners </li><li>Designs curriculum to prepare students for industry-recognized credentials or digital badges </li><li>Facilitates in-person or virtual instruction that supports hands-on, career-focused learning </li><li>Assesses student learning outcomes and provides timely, constructive feedback </li><li>Incorporates current industry trends and labor market needs into course content </li><li>Maintains accurate records including attendance, grades, and progress reports </li><li>Engages in continuous curriculum improvement and adaptation for diverse learners </li><li>Collaborates with program coordinators to align instruction with institutional goals </li><li>Participates in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What you need to succeed</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or related field and at least three (3) years of professional experience in workforce development or a related area </li><li>Prior teaching experience, preferably with adult learners </li><li>Experience with curriculum development and instructional technology </li><li>Knowledge of adult learning theory and workforce education best practices </li><li>Understanding of industry certifications, digital badges, and training pathways </li><li>Ability to design and deliver instruction aligned with industry needs </li><li>Proficiency with learning management systems and digital instructional tools </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines </li><li>Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learners and flexible delivery formats </li><li>Knowledge of labor market trends and occupational competencies </li><li>Skill in student assessment, curriculum development, and lesson planning </li><li>Ability to build a positive, inclusive classroom environment </li></ul> <p>Preferences</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree preferred </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <p>The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.</p> <p>EQUAL ACCESS/EQUAL OPPORTUNITY</p> <p>Miami Dade College is an equal access/equal opportunity institution which does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, marital status, age, religion, national origin, disability, veteran's status, ethnicity, pregnancy, sexual orientation or genetic information.</p> <p>To obtain more information about the College's equal access and equal opportunity policies, procedures and practices, please contact the College's Civil Rights Compliance Officer: Cindy Lau Evans, Director, Equal Opportunity Programs/ ADA Coordinator/ Title IX Coordinator, at (305) 237-2577 (Voice) or 711 (Relay Service). 11011 SW 104 St., Room 1102-01; Miami, FL 33176.
