This individual will oversee all fitness and recreational operations, including membership enrollment, membership management and the implementation of programming. The Director will be responsible for training and development, scheduling, payroll management, budget adherence, and revenue-generating program development. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to grow in a world-class resort environment. The facility is one of a kind and we are looking for a one-of-a-kind Leader.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee all fitness center services, ensuring high-quality guest experiences and safety. </li><li>Develop, implement, and evaluate fitness and wellness programs. </li><li>Manage scheduling and payroll for all fitness staff members. </li><li>Hire, train, supervise, and support fitness center staff. </li><li>Ensure fitness equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. </li><li>Greet clients, address requests, and enhance customer satisfaction. </li><li>Organize marketing initiatives, including promotional events and membership incentives. </li><li>Attend and contribute to management and marketing meetings. </li><li>Supervise general cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards. </li><li>Deliver pre-event briefings to staff, ensuring clear communication of expectations. </li><li>Monitor and direct team members on-site to uphold service and safety standards. </li><li>Utilize computer systems for scheduling, reporting, and administrative tasks. </li><li>Develop and present revenue-generating programming for fitness and tennis facilities. </li><li>Manage revenue streams including day visits and special events. </li><li>Drive membership growth through recruitment efforts, member communication plans, member relations, and hosting member events. </li><li>Create, monitor, and report on the fitness center budget. </li><li>Oversee health club accounting with the Accounting Manager, who will have a dotted-line reporting structure to the Fitness Facility Director while working in the resort accounting office. </li><li>Manage HR, recruiting, and hiring with the HR Partner, who will have a dotted-line reporting structure to the HC Director while working in the resort HR office. </li><li>Ensure proper maintenance of the physical plant, including housekeeping, laundry, and facility upkeep. </li><li>Oversee security to maintain a safe and secure environment for members and guests. </li><li>Coordinate with resort Sales & Marketing and operations teams as necessary. </li><li>Collaborate with Arena and Outliers Sales & Marketing and operations teams as needed. </li><li>Manage member parking logistics to ensure convenient and organized access. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Fitness Director in a high-volume fitness and recreation center.</p> </li><li> <p>Certifications:</p> </li><li> <p>CPR Certification (Required)</p> </li><li> <p>Fitness Instruction Certification (Required)</p> </li><li> <p>Skills & Abilities:</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of occupational health, wellness principles, and program implementation.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to develop, plan, and manage time and costs effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication and leadership skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Computer proficiency for scheduling and administrative tasks.</p> </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Frequent to Constant Activities: Walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, and hearing. </li><li>Occasional Activities: Sitting, lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs., and travel. </li><li>Environmental Conditions: Constant exposure to fitness center environments requiring high physical engagement. </li></ul> <p>Compensation Range</p> <p>The compensation for this position is $70,000.00/Yr. - $80,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.</p>
