<p>UPMC NORTHWEST Hospital</p> <p>Seneca, PA</p> <p>Status: Full Time 36 hours/week</p> <p>Shifts: rotating day/night, typically 3-12's, every other holiday, every other weekend</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Deliver patient-centered care using critical thinking, strong clinical judgment, and thorough documentation to ensure safety, quality, and seamless transitions of care.</p> </li><li> <p>Build positive, collaborative relationships with patients, families, and colleagues while maintaining accountability, professionalism, and clear communication.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide effective patient and family education, support new staff and students, and contribute to a learning-focused, feedback-driven environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Engage in ongoing professional development, support unit goals, participate in shared governance, and adapt to change with a team-first mindset.</p> </li><li> <p>Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities, using evidence-based practice, and helping elevate the overall patient experience.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to build positive, professional relationships with patients, families, and all levels of staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment</p> </li><li> <p>Physical ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning.</p> </li></ul> <p>Licensure & Certifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Current RN license or Temporary Practice Permit (state or compact, as applicable).</p> </li><li> <p>BLS/CPR required within 30 days of hire.</p> </li><li> <p>ACLS required within 1 year; NIH Stroke Scale within 6 months.</p> </li><li> <p>Act 34 and OAPSA clearances required.</p> </li><li> <p>National certification preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Graduate Nurses must obtain full licensure within 6 months of hire.</p> </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
