You'll collaborate closely with design, development, and quality teams to plan, design, and implement robust automated tools and services that ensure the quality and reliability of our AI software stack. You will be highly hands-on in your work and collaborate closely with stakeholders.</p> <p>This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the development of cutting-edge automation frameworks, foster a culture of quality, and contribute to the long-term success of the organization.</p> <p>What You Might Do</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement automation frameworks and testing strategies that cover the entire software stack, from backend systems to user-facing features. </li><li>Identify, evaluate, and integrate new tools that streamline development. This includes everything from code quality tools and to Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions. </li><li>Help continuous improvement efforts for our build, release, and test systems, ensuring a robust and efficient CI/CD pipeline. </li><li>Explore and implement AI tools, such as the OpenAI API, to create both deterministic and non-deterministic testing approaches that uncover hard-to-find bugs. </li><li>Design and build reusable automated tests and tools that establish a high standard for the team, empowering other engineers to adopt and contribute to best practices. </li><li>Partner with System Software, Automation, and Test teams to ensure testing strategies are integrated and aligned across the organization. </li><li>Use your deep understanding of system logs and backend processes to diagnose and resolve complex issues that arise during testing. </li></ul> <p>Essential Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). </li><li>2+ years of experience in automation engineering. </li><li>Hands-on experience working with Linux and Windows. </li><li>Strong proficiency in developing tools for test automation. </li><li>Deep understanding of observability and telemetry. </li><li>Good understanding of complete software development life cycle. </li><li>Proficiency in Python or other object-oriented programming languages. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li>You have a deep understanding of the entire development ecosystem and can design and implement scalable build, release, and test systems. </li><li>Expertise with CI/CD pipelines is critical, with hands-on experience in platforms like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. </li><li>You are proficient with test automation frameworks such as Pytest, and can lead the adoption of these tools to ensure product quality. </li><li>You are experienced with observability and monitoring tools, including Splunk, to provide deep insights into system behavior and performance. </li><li>Experience with consumer electronics a plus </li><li>Familiarity with ML Usage. Some familiarity with how to leverage machine learning models in a product environment is a plus. </li><li>Strong Interpersonal and Leadership Skills. You possess excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships, driving alignment and collaboration with system software, automation, and test teams. </li></ul> <p>Salary Range: $114,000 - $158,000</p> <p>Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)</p> <p>The salary range for this role is listed above.
