The Supervisor oversees</p> <p>and directs an Assistant Supervisor, Plumbing Operations position and thirteen (13)</p> <p>union (SEIU) plumbers and is responsible for all aspects of plumbing maintenance and</p> <p>operations for 8 million square feet across four campuses and 167 buildings.</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to potable water, hot water, steam, sanitary</p> <p>sewer, process water and fire protection systems.</p> <p>The Supervisor works closely with the Director, Trades Services and a separate</p> <p>organization led by the Director of Engineering & Energy Management on plumbing</p> <p>infrastructure. They also will oversee and manage small plumbing capital projects.</p> <p>Must demonstrate a proven ability to administer multiple projects and ability to meet</p> <p>deadlines</p> <p>The Supervisor is overall responsible for the training, development, morale and</p> <p>discipline of the entire plumbing shop.</p> <p>Requires a minimum of 10 recent years of Plumbing related field service work,a</p> <p>minimum of 3-5 recent years of managerial experience. Experience working with a</p> <p>Union is preferred.</p> <p>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets and Drive) is</p> <p>required. This position requires strong interpersonal and analytical skills, including the</p> <p>demonstrable ability to make sound decisions based on available information under</p> <p>emergency as well as normal conditions.</p> <p>This position requires a Master Plumber's license and prefers a wastewater</p> <p>certification/license.</p> <p>Must maintain a valid driver's license.</p> <p>This position is considered essential and must be able to respond to campus</p> <p>emergencies at any time.
