We offer flexible working arrangements to help with work/life balance.</p> <p>WSP's Pacific Northwest Site Investigation & Remediation Team offers environmental remediation and related services to a diverse set of clients, including industrial/commercial companies, local and state agencies, and the federal government. Project locations are local, regional, and nationwide. We have in-house experts in chemistry, risk assessment, data management, graphics/GIS, engineering, and industrial hygiene who support projects in the Pacific Northwest and many other locations, and have access to subject matter experts worldwide. The position requires a self-motivated candidate able to work as part of local, regional, or national project teams.</p> <p>Your Impact</p> <p>Help solve problems and document solutions, express ideas through strong technical writing and verbal communication, and support technical reports, plans, and calculations in a consulting environment.</p> <p>Work on a variety of multi-disciplinary projects, with substantial emphasis on soil, soil vapor/gas, groundwater, surface water, and stormwater investigations and remediation systems; chemical fate and transport assessment; hazardous waste management; permitting; and site planning.</p> <p>Be a member of teams providing environmental consulting services to commercial and government clients.</p> <p>Perform technical tasks under oversight of more experienced technical reviewers/directors as appropriate.</p> <p>Possess knowledge and technical skills in Federal, Oregon and Washington regulations.</p> <p>This position provides opportunity for career growth over time, and the ideal candidate will be excited about the opportunity to help grow our environmental consulting business.</p> <p>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.</p> <p>Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.</p> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>B.S. or higher in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related discipline</p> <p>Minimum 1 or more years post-education environmental consulting experience</p> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</p> <p>Consistent and highly accurate project work</p> <p>Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills</p> <p>Comfortable working within both small and large project teams to achieve objectives</p> <p>Ability to work in industrial and field environments as well as in the office</p> <p>Flexible to work outside of business hours, when necessary</p> <p>Proficiency with MS Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook, in particular</p> <p>Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.</p> <p>Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.</p> <p>Ability to travel based on project-specific requirements</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Professional registration in Oregon or Washington (preferably both) if a Geologist/Hydrogeologist</p> <p>Master's Degree is preferred</p> <p>40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred</p> <p>Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired</p> <p>WSP Benefits:</p> <p>WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career. These benefits include coverage related to medical, dental, vision, disability, and life; retirement savings; paid sick leave; paid vacation (or other personal time); paid parental leave; and paid time off for purposes of bereavement, voting, and/or attendance at naturalization proceedings.</p> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>Expected Salary (all locations): $63,700, - $80,500</p> <p>WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
