Other duties may be assigned</p> <ul> <li> <p>Include but are not limited to the following</p> </li><li> <p>Teaches 5-11 year olds sideline cheers, choreography & prepare them for end of season cheer performances</p> </li><li> <p>Coaches the cheer squad in proper techniques to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Choreographs routines for cheer groups to enhance fan involvement at Youth Sports events.</p> </li><li> <p>Attends all required meetings and trainings for professional development.</p> </li><li> <p>Understands physical safety issues of each participant.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates with parents, participants, and coaches.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains accurate attendance/improvement records for each participant</p> </li><li> <p>Sets up and tears down program area</p> </li><li> <p>Exhibits patience, maturity, and dependability</p> </li><li> <p>Perform additional duties as assigned by the site supervisor or head coach.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize the Rockford Park District's HRIS system for all HR and payroll-related requirements and to accurately clock in and out for all shifts.</p> </li></ul> <p>Critical Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be at least 16 years of age</p> </li><li> <p>Good organizational and leadership skills for daily supervision and direction of participants</p> </li><li> <p>Have a working technical knowledge of cheerleading and some football</p> </li><li> <p>Basic knowledge and ability to teach any of the following: Dancing, Stunting, Tumbling, Cheering</p> </li><li> <p>Must be prompt and reliable.</p> </li><li> <p>Good organizational skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate well with parents, participants, and coaches</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to problem solve in a variety of situations</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and demonstrate flexibility as a team player</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
