Our work is mission-critical, supporting the U.S. Navy and strengthening national security.</p> <p>About Department 701 - Navy Facility Engineering & Training Technologies Group</p> <p>Department 701, located at SUBASE Groton, CT, provides training support of submarines and facilities at forward sites in engineering, planning, logistics and modernization for all classes of submarines.</p> <p>Role Overview</p> <p>Our innovative architectural/engineering group specializing in the design, installation and maintenance for NAVAL Submarine Facilities and Trainers, is seeking an Intermediate Architect/Facilities Designer. The ideal candidate will bring experience in new construction, rehabilitation, institutional and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have knowledge in commercial drawings to successfully compile construction documents to be issued to local and regional NAVY Facilities Systems Commands (NAVFAC). Experience applying Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for the existing conditions, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection is necessary.
