<p>$2,000 Sign On Bonus</p> <p>The HVAC 2 performs engineering duties in accordance with hospital policy and procedure. This person is to be proficient in all areas of HVAC-R maintenance and installation; air conditioning (split, package, vav and central air handling units), heating (hot water boilers, steam boilers, hot water converters, electric and heat pumps), chill water systems (centrifugal chillers, cooling towers), ice machines (cubers & flakers), refrigeration (refrigerators & walk-in coolers), and associated controls (pneumatics, pressure, temperature, volume and electrical). Must be proficient to soldering and brazing. Will perform steam, water, control air and refrigerant piping, as well as all kinds of duct work installation and repair (round, square, insulated, supply and exhaust). Will perform test and balance on a/c systems (air volumes in and out). Other responsibilities include performing routine tests; fire alarm, sprinkler drop tests, Emergency generator load test, emergency battery lighting test, line isolation test and new equipment inspections. Other work will include a variety of different tasks requiring knowledge in plumbing, electrical and building maintenance.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Five years of related experience. Requires broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures.</p> <p>Licenses & Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Driver's License </li><li>Refrigerant Trans. Rec. Cert. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 5 years of HVAC-R maintenance and installation, or three years mechanical and building maintenance and certifications in Air Conditioning Technology. </li><li>Must be legally able to drive in the State of Georgia. Subject to a motor vehicle driving record review. </li><li>Read -- Ability to read safety rules instructions in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment, ability to read and interpret written instructions (Work Orders) </li><li>Speak -- Ability to speak clearly and distinctly primarily to convey problems and work status to others. </li><li>Write -- Ability to summarize work progress in work order form, write for content more important than grammatical correctness. </li></ul> <p>Area of Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannually, and yearly inspections are documented and logged in the appropriate files per hospital policy/procedure and other regulatory agencies including The Joint Commission. </li><li>Downed or failing equipment is properly evaluated for cost effective repairs or replacement. </li><li>Inspections and rounds of mechanical spaces are completed as assigned, and noted discrepancies have Work Orders written for further action. </li><li>Maintain proper working condition of all major HVAC-R equipment including PM and Corrective Work Orders completed in a timely manner. </li><li>Taking call rotation , handling emergency situations, maintains a consistent and steady rate of work, assists with routine engineering duties (call catching, cleaning, testing equipment, and assisting other engineers.) </li><li>Complies with standards set forth by regulatory agencies. </li><li>Documentation is in compliance with hospital policy/procedure and other regulatory agency requirements. </li><li>Employee is required to assess each job and use the proper Personal Protective Equipment while performing related job functions. Employees must realize that each job function and work area may require different PPE. Employee should check with supervisor before performing any work if they are not sure of needed PPE. </li><li>Participates in continuing education as mandated per department and system policy: General and Fire Safety, Security, Hazardous Materials and Waste, Emergency Preparedness (Disaster), Life Safety, Medical Equipment, Utilities Management, Annual Hospital Wide In-Service, Legal Compliance In-Service </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li><li>Required to assist others in department outside normal duties. (Landscape to help paint, painter to mow grass, etc.) </li><li>Required to carry a pager and PDA while on duty, and be able to respond to all calls immediately. </li><li>Required to take "Call" as scheduled and respond to all pages within 10 minutes and be at organization within 1 hour. </li><li>When assigned in-house call, Engineer required to responds to patient related calls in 30 minutes or less. </li></ul> <p>Compliance Statement</p> <p>Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program.
