<ul> <li>This is a Seasonal/Part-time position anticipated to start May 2026,and end August 2026.* </li></ul> <p>Under general supervision, performs various tasks and assignments to lead and assist in the implementation of various activities in the areas of sports and games, arts & crafts, music drama, special events, tournaments, field trips, guest speakers and related activities for children ages 4-15 years old during summer camps. Monitor and implement USDA Feeding Program on site. Performs routine administrative tasks to complete required paperwork. Ability to exercise independent judgment and take initiative. Must be willing to work at any site throughout the City. Candidate needs to be able to work during the scheduled hours and as needed for special events. Must be able to coordinate own transportation to and from work site.</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Since every duty associated with this position may not be described herein, employees may be required to perform duties not specifically spelled out in the job description, but which may be reasonably considered to be incidental in the performing of their duties just as though they were actually written out in this job description. </p> <ul> <li>Interacts with the general public in person and by phone; provides information about programs and activities; registers participants; issues and checks membership cards; receives fees; enforces rules and regulations of the facility. </li><li>Sets up and takes down equipment used for classes and events; maintains, stores, and monitors inventory of equipment; issues athletic equipment to participants. </li><li>Participates in programs, classes, activities, and events; leads crafts, games and other activities for children. </li><li>Assists in cleaning and maintaining the facility. </li><li>Performs routine administrative tasks for the department; collects funds; prepares deposits as requested; performs routine data entry, record keeping, filing, faxing, and copying documents. </li><li>Provides assistance and input regarding programs, participants, and volunteers. </li><li>Operates a personal computer and other equipment necessary to complete essential functions to include word processing, e-mail and other programs. </li><li>Communicates with supervisors, employees, other departments, vendors, the public and outside agencies; attends various meetings as required. </li><li>May assist with special events including holiday events, senior trips, etc. </li><li>Performs other related duties as required. </li></ul> <p>High school diploma or equivalent with one to two years' experience in a customer service role with direct interaction with adults and children;or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Requires a valid driver's license.</p> <p>Supplemental Information CPR/First Aid/AED a plus, but not required.</p>
