<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Extracurricular Athletics/Activities/Athletic Coach or Advisor</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>12/8/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Desert Vista High School</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Until Filled</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Provide coaching services for the Boys Cross Country team.</p> <p>Department: Desert Vista High School Athletics</p> <p>Reports to: Assistant Principal for Athletics</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct supervision of students, auxiliary or assistant coaches and volunteer coaches </li><li>Organize and schedule practice sessions on a regular basis to develop the athletes' greatest potential </li><li>Apply discipline in a firm and positive manner </li><li>Emphasize student safety </li><li>Obtain appropriate training and certification to transport students in the white buses. Training must be completed within two weeks of beginning employment. </li><li>Perform all duties in accordance with state and federal law and TUHSD Governing Board policie </li></ul> <p>Training and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Prior experience in a similar position preferred </li><li>Successful experience working with students </li><li>Must meet all background requirements </li></ul> <p>Licensing and Certification Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>National Federation of State High Schools Association (NFHSA) certification. </li><li>Valid DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card. </li><li>Valid Arizona teacher or Substitute certification. </li><li>Obtain appropriate training and certification to transport students in the white buses.
