The person in this position must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Position may require hours to flex between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift based on need.</p> <p>This position requires bilingual proficiency in English and Swahili to support plant operations, including translating plant meetings and facilitating basic communication across team.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate commitment to safety and performs job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures </li><li>Follow Standard Quality Processes </li><li>Understand job jacket/shop card information to determine quantity, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements </li><li>Determine the best manufacturing method to produce product efficiently and effectively </li><li>Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment </li><li>Troubleshoot and make decisions regarding the quality of finished product </li><li>Complete required quality inspections and paperwork </li><li>Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance </li><li>Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned equipment and surrounding area </li><li>Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements </li><li>Perform data entry within the SAP system: consume and print tags, put orders into the system </li><li>Maintain a clean work area </li><li>Cross train on other light industrial machines </li><li>Enforce all safety and GMP policies </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors </li><li>Provide verbal and written translation between English and Swahili during plant meetings, safety briefings, and day-to-day communications to support team understanding and collaboration. </li></ul> <p>Performance Measures and Outcomes:</p> <ul> <li>Adherence to safety policies and procedures </li><li>Quality of work </li><li>Production goals </li></ul> <p>Education/Certification:</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual Proficiency in English and Swahili is required. </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent desired. </li></ul> <p>Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Manufacturing experience desired. </li><li>Supervisory experience desired. </li></ul> <p>Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner </li><li>Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business </li><li>Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed </li><li>Ability to effectively work in teams </li><li>Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people </li><li>Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles </li><li>Ability to read a tape measure/ruler </li><li>Ability to read and count </li><li>Ability to read layouts </li><li>Good mathematical skills </li><li>Good organizational skills </li><li>Mechanical aptitude </li><li>Trouble shooting skills </li><li>Good judgment of color, design, and printing quality </li><li>Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job </li><li>Fluency in both English and Swahili, with the ability to translate technical and operational information accurately. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages to support cross functional communication. </li></ul> <p>Travel Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>Two companies, one vision.</p> <p>Menasha Corporation consists of two companies that are leading the way to a sustainable future with packaging and supply chain solutions.
