<p>Are you currently enrolled in an Electro-Mechanical or Automation program and looking for real-world, hands-on experience? Green Bay Packaging offers a premier internship designed to bridge the gap between the classroom and the production floor.</p> <p>As an Intern, you won't just watch from the sidelines. You will work alongside veteran technicians to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, gain exposure to complex PLC logic, and help maintain a 24/7 manufacturing facility.</p> <p>Education Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be currently enrolled in an Associate degree program for Electro-Mechanical Technology, Automation, or a related technical field. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Learn & Do (Under the guidance of a mentor), you will assist in the following:</p> <ul> <li>Preventative Maintenance: Learn the "heartbeat" of the facility by performing scheduled PM's , Repairs, and checks on state-of-the-art equipment. </li><li>Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing breakdowns across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and servo systems. </li><li>Infrastructure & Installation: Gain hands-on experience running conduit, pulling wire, fabrication, and installing new control systems. </li><li>Automation: Apply classroom knowledge to troubleshoot and program PLCs in a live industrial environment. </li><li>Site Support: Participate in general building maintenance and "Jack-of-all-Trades" tasks that keep the facility running. </li><li>GMP Standards: Learn the critical hygiene and tool accountability standards required for food-grade paperboard packaging. </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li>Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with reading schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. </li><li>Safety Mindset: A disciplined approach to safety, especially when working with 480V equipment and at heights. </li><li>Physical Stamina: Ability to stay active for the duration of the shift, including lifting and working in various outdoor weather conditions. </li><li>Curiosity: A strong desire to ask questions, learn new tools, and solve puzzles. </li><li>Flexible Training </li></ul> <p>Why Intern with Green Bay Packaging?</p> <ul> <li>Mentorship: Work directly with a skilled team dedicated to your professional development. </li><li>State-of-the-Art Facility: Gain experience with 2026-standard automation and manufacturing tech. </li><li>Career Path: Many of our successful full-time technicians began their journeys as interns. </li><li>Environment: Work in a clean, temperature-controlled facility (with occasional outdoor tasks). </li></ul> <p>Company Overview</p> <p>Started in 1933, Green Bay Packaging Inc. is a family owned, vertically integrated company consisting of corrugated container plants, a folding carton facility, recycled and virgin containerboard mills, pressure-sensitive label roll stock plants, timberlands, a paper slitting operation, and a sawmill facility.
