If you have a passion for customer service and claims management, this is the perfect opportunity for you!</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Claims Manager's primary focus will be on all aspects of the claim adjudication process and customer service of the GAP Claims Department.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manage and direct the GAP Claims Department in concert with the Director of GAP Claims </li><li>Train, review, and manage the performance of adjusters and customer service representatives </li><li>Review claims exceeding the authority of adjusters </li><li>Monitor incoming workloads and maintain schedules, ensuring proper distribution of work and phone coverage </li><li>Handle escalated and disputed claims calls from customers, dealers, and agents </li><li>Travel as necessary </li><li>As otherwise directed by senior management </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>5 years or greater experience in claims and/or call center position </li><li>Previous supervision or management of a claims department and/or call center group </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Must be computer literate and proficient with Excel, Word & PCRS </li><li>Excellent writing and verbal communication and negotiation skills </li><li>Excellent customer service skills to both internal and external customers </li><li>Detail-oriented and organized </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods of the day.
