<p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Bill of Materials (BOM) Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the bill of materials for our product lines, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in the production process.</p> <p>Barletta's culture is what sets us apart and creates a great employee experience. In addition to a Barletta Safe culture where all employees work collaboratively to create a "zero harm" work environment, we actively promote and encourage behaviors that align to our Values: 1) Treat everyone like family, 2) Always do the right thing, and 3) Relentlessly pursue excellence and our Leadership Expectations: 1) Connect with Purpose, 2) Execute with Excellence and 3) Build the future.</p> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>BOM Creation and Maintenance:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain comprehensive bills of materials for all pontoon boat models, including detailed lists of components, materials, and assemblies. </li><li>Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date BOMs reflecting design changes and improvements. </li></ul> <p>Cost Analysis:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct regular cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and value engineering. </li><li>Work closely with procurement and finance teams to track and analyze material costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals. </li></ul> <p>Data Accuracy and Integrity:</p> <ul> <li>Implement and maintain systems and processes to guarantee the accuracy and integrity of BOM data. </li><li>Regularly audit BOM information to identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies. </li></ul> <p>Collaboration and Communication:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, procurement, and quality assurance, to gather and communicate BOM-related information. </li><li>Provide timely updates on BOM changes, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are informed. </li></ul> <p>Process Improvement:</p> <ul> <li>Continuously assess and improve BOM-related processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors in the production workflow. </li><li>Propose and implement solutions to streamline BOM management and relate documentation. </li></ul> <p>Regulatory Compliance:</p> <ul> <li>Stay informed about industry regulations and standards related to materials and components used in pontoon boat manufacturing. </li><li>Ensure BOMs comply with relevant regulatory requirements and certifications. </li></ul> <p>Vendor Collaboration:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with suppliers and vendors to validate BOM information, negotiate pricing, and address any issues related to the supply chain. </li></ul> <p>Safety</p> <ul> <li>Supports a Barletta Safe culture by adhering to and advocating for the safest behaviors and proactively identifies opportunities to mitigate job-related risks and hazards. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. </li><li>Proven experience in bill of materials management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the marine industry. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail. </li><li>Proficiency in using BOM management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. </li><li>Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management. </li><li>Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the marine industry is a plus. </li></ul> <p>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:</p> <ul> <li>Compensation is based on past job history, knowledge and experience. </li><li>Medical/Rx </li><li>Dental </li><li>Vision </li><li>Short and Long-Term Disability </li><li>Company Paid Life Insurance and AD&D </li><li>Voluntary Life Ins, Accident and Critical Illness </li><li>401k with match </li><li>Employee Stock Purchase Program </li></ul>
