<p>Join Our Team at UPMC Presbyterian!</p> <p>Are you passionate about maintaining pristine floor areas? UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore is seeking a dedicated Floor & Project Technician to join our Environmental Services (EVS) team. You'll be responsible for stripping and refinishing hard surface floors, as well as shampooing carpeted areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.</p> <p>This is a night shift position, working either 10:00PM-6:30AM or 11:00PM-7:30AM.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Cleans and sanitizes after emergency spill clean-up requests.</p> </li><li> <p>Change Shampoo to Extracts.</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, reporting all problems to the supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Shampoo assigned carpeted areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain all assigned equipment; keep equipment clean and in good repair, report all problems and suggestions to the supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Comply with all Hospital/Department policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow all safety and sanitation regulations, reporting problems to the shift supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Remove all soil, wax, and sealer from assigned hard-surface floors.</p> </li><li> <p>Uses chemicals and solutions per department Tech Manual.</p> </li><li> <p>The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a diverse environment, have a positive attitude and will familiarize themselves with UPMC's core values and demonstrate them each day.</p> </li><li> <p>DIGNITY AND RESPECT, CARING AND LISTENING, RESPONSIBILITY AND INTEGRITY, QUALITY AND SAFETY & EXCELLENCE AND INNOVATION.</p> </li><li> <p>HS Diploma/GED OR 1 YR previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED or successful completion of the 5-week EVS training program</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to use all housekeeping equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>May in the course of duties be in rooms where medications are stored.</p> </li><li> <p>No contact with medications is allowed.</p> </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
