<p>Location: Bay Minette, Alabama</p> <p>Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:30PM</p> <p>Duration: 6 months +/-</p> <p>Job Summary: Responsible for the management, issuance, tracking, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and consumable materials used on construction projects. This role supports field operations by ensuring tools are readily available, in safe working condition, and inventoried according to company and NCCER-aligned best practices. The helper/attendant may also assist with onsite material handling, including operating a Lull (telehandler), when necessary.</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities: None</p> <p>Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Receive, store, issue, and track all tools, equipment, and consumables using inventory management software or manual logs. </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and secure tool room/work area in accordance with NCCER construction site safety and housekeeping standards. </li><li>Inspect tools and equipment upon check-in/check-out for damage, wear, or safety concerns; complete basic maintenance or route equipment for repair. </li><li>Ensure calibrated tools are tracked and sent for calibration as required. </li><li>Apply asset tagging, labeling, and barcoding systems to maintain accurate accountability. </li><li>Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts; reconcile discrepancies and report shortages. </li><li>Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when materials or consumables need replenishing. </li><li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation of tool transfers, lost/damaged tools, and tool room transactions. </li><li>Assist in implementing NCCER-aligned inventory control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li>Safely operate a Lull (telehandler) to load, unload, move, or stage materials and equipment as needed. </li><li>Follow all OSHA & company equipment operation standards. </li><li>Assist field crews with material distribution and tool delivery across the jobsite. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and construction materials. </li><li>Ability to safely operate or willingness to be trained/certified on a Lull (telehandler). </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to use inventory systems (Excel, barcoding systems, or inventory software). </li><li>Must be able to read and communicate in English to understand technical documents, safety procedures, and instructions relevant to job duties. English proficiency is required due to operational and safety communication needs. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent (GED). </li><li>Proven experience in tool room operations, warehouse operations, or construction inventory management. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods. </li><li>Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials/tools up to 50-75 lbs. </li><li>Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions typical of construction sites. </li><li>Willingness to work in construction jobsite environment with exposure to noise, dust, weather, and moving heavy equipment. </li></ul> <p>CSFCO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
