<p>Purpose The General Maintenance role performs mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and building maintenance on a wide range of equipment and systems throughout the facility. This role also supports plant operations through skilled troubleshooting, repair, installation, and upkeep of equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities Diagnose and Repair Equipment (40%)</p> <p>Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems across a wide range of manufacturing and facility equipment. Repair or replace faulty components, including motors, bearings, belts, hydraulic and pneumatic parts, sensors, and valves, to ensure safe and efficient operation of production equipment.</p> <p>Support Equipment Installations and Improvements (15%)</p> <p>Install or relocate equipment as needed, including hookup of utilities and supporting infrastructure.</p> <p>Perform Preventive Maintenance (15%)</p> <p>Carry out routine service tasks on manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure to maintain asset performance and reduce unplanned downtime.</p> <p>Document Work to Improve Maintenance Tracking (10%)</p> <p>Accurately complete work orders, logs, and checklists to support data-driven decisions and strengthen maintenance planning.</p> <p>Support Safety Standards and Compliance (10%)</p> <p>Maintain clean, well-organized workspaces, and tool storage areas to reduce hazards and enhance team productivity. Participate in audits, document findings, and ensure completed jobs align with EFCO standards and procedures. Follow all safety rules, engage in safety initiatives, and promptly report unsafe conditions.</p> <p>Operate Tools and Equipment Safely and Effectively (10%)</p> <p>Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes) in accordance with safety protocols to minimize risk and improve task efficiency.</p> <p>Additional duties may be assigned to meet organizational goals and priorities. Etc. Trade school coursework in hydraulics and motor control preferred. Experience: On-the-job experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Must pass a general mechanical aptitude test.</p> <p>Working Arrangement</p> <p>This role will work 100% onsite at our Des Moines, IA location.</p>
