Make a difference.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures; handles and administers radiopharmaceuticals; maintains radiation safety. Prepares examinations for interpretation; and assists with maintaining supplies.</p> <ul> <li>Performs and documents nuclear medicine examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider. </li><li>Performs appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver. </li><li>Analyzes nuclear medicine examinations for quality control purposes. </li><li>Prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist. </li><li>Operates nuclear medicine cameras and all related equipment. </li><li>Operates all facility-based computer systems. </li><li>Administers radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of physician/per protocol. </li><li>Transports, moves and positions patients in a safe and appropriate fashion. </li><li>Participates in quality assurance / quality control activities as related to nuclear medicine. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Job Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate or Bachelor degree in allied health/Nuclear medicine Technology from an AMA approved school, or program that otherwise meets the requirements to be registry-eligible required. </li><li>Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). </li><li>Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio. </li><li>Maintains annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count certification. </li><li>Two years minimum experience in a diagnostic imaging setting preferred. </li></ul> <p>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.</p>
