<p>Job Description: Mechanical Engineer II</p> <p>The Mechanical Engineer II plays a vital role in new product development and implementation, demonstrating high levels of technical skill and experience. This position operates under the guidance of the Mechanical Engineering Manager and Lead Project Engineers at the Darien, WI and Beloit, WI facilities.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform assignments of a complex nature requiring a high degree of technical competence while planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects related to power generation enclosure systems design. </li><li>Conceive and plan projects to explore and resolve product or process problems, defining and selecting new concepts and approaches to the design or development of new or improved products, equipment, or processes. </li><li>Consolidate and present results of design reviews of major projects to members of the engineering group. </li><li>Provide technical guidance and act as a mentor to less experienced engineers, designers, and technicians. </li><li>Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and bills of materials using the release process. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in design, mechanical engineering, and SolidWorks. </li><li>5+ years of experience in new product development (NPD) and engineer-to-order (ETO) business and product engineering. </li><li>Experience in design for sheet metal-based products and metal fabrication manufacturing. </li><li>Experience in design for manufacturability (DFM). </li><li>SolidWorks or relevant 3D CAD experience. </li><li>Project management skills. </li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, Creo, 3D modeling, and mechanical design. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 3-5 years of applicable experience including direct involvement in the design and manufacturing of mechanical systems used in the power generation industry. </li><li>Proficiency with computers and computer tools (MS Office, SolidWorks, etc.). </li><li>High level of analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Solid understanding of manufacturing processes including welding, sheet metal forming, and fabrication. </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Permanent position based out of Delavan, WI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00/yr.</p> <p>Company benefits will be shared upon initial conversation with Actalent and any related questions can be answered at this time.
