<p>Description</p> <p>WHY AMIkids?</p> <p>AMIkids Education teams are lucky to work with some of the most underserved kids in our communities. Working with students that come from diverse backgrounds can prove to be challenging but also rewarding. AMIkids teachers get to see the difference that they make in the lives of their students by providing instruction in a smaller classroom setting with support from a family-oriented team.</p> <p>We seek an Academic Instructor to assist with program academic learning and testing functions and various classroom activities as assigned. The academic instructor's primary objectives include facilitating lesson plans and ensuring student's success in earning credits or GED.</p> <p>If this "WHY" resonates with you, you may have a place on our AMIkids team as an Academic Instructor.</p> <p>Video: We Are AMIkids Website: www.AMIkids.org</p> <p>What you will be doing:</p> <ul> <li>Assess and evaluate academic needs of youth; provide professional instruction and teaching to a diverse population as appropriate, </li><li>Provide instruction related to core subject areas and electives according to lesson plans, IEPs and AMIkids Blended Learning Model incorporating other instructional strategies, </li><li>Motivate and guide youth toward the successful accomplishment of established educational goals and objectives, </li><li>Effective use of the Behavior Modification System by providing redirection and coaching to youth, </li><li>Provide instruction in life skills and other career readiness curriculum as needed, </li><li>Supervise classroom activities and computer based assignments, </li><li>Maintain appropriate educational materials, equipment and resources, </li><li>Maintain timely accurate and complete youth records (includes but not limited to lesson plans and grades), </li><li>Serve as advisor and positive role model for youth at all times. </li></ul> <p>Role requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred, </li><li>Two (2) years of experience working with youth. </li></ul> <p>Perks and Benefits:</p> <p>What we offer to our Team Members are: Growth Opportunities (we develop our leaders from within); Health Benefits to eligible full-time employees, Paid Holidays and PTO, Wellness Benefits (EAP, Health Coaching), Retirement Plans (yes more than 1) and more!
