Engage in physical labor required for grounds and facility maintenance, including the care of all equipment used in job responsibilities. Work is performed under the direct supervision and is reviewed during progress and upon completion.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct daily upkeep of a Major League Baseball field </li><li>Operation and daily maintenance of all equipment related to field maintenance </li><li>Maintenance of all batting cages, field screens, and enclosed hitting tunnels </li><li>Daily cleaning of field, dugouts, bullpens, maintenance shop, and all equipment </li><li>Perform all pre and post-game field preparations </li><li>Safely operate light tractors, power mowers, and small gasoline-powered machinery </li><li>Handle trucks, flatbeds, water trucks, or basic single-chassis equipment in a safe manner </li><li>Operate tools such as edge trimmers, sprayers, sod cutters, line markers, and various hand tools safely </li><li>Performs routine maintenance on all equipment </li><li>Transport field-related equipment to and from the field as needed </li><li>Contribute to the pulling on and off of field tarps when required </li><li>Performs all other job duties as required by Supervisor </li></ul> <p>At the Cleveland Guardians, we are all about creating an inclusive environment that brings out the best in everyone.
