<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Join a small dynamic team and work with some of the most dedicated people in the footage licensing industry as our Research and Content Specialist. The position will report into the Director of ABC NEWS VideoSource.</p> <p>VideoSource is the content licensing division of ABC NEWS. This position requires a highly organized team player who will interact with outside clients, R&C and the VideoSource staff on a daily basis.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>The Research and Archival Content Specialist is responsible for managing the asset retrieval process for all third parties creating productions owned by ABC NEWS.</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the research process which includes finding suitable ABC NEWS content in our proprietary database and communicating results to our clients </li><li>This professional will liaise with outside production companies hired by ABC to produce content from the ABC library </li><li>Manage delivery workflow for all screening and master files </li><li>Record and catalog each asset delivered for future review </li><li>Coordinate and perform various administrative tasks in connection with this position </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>At least 3+ years of footage research experience </li><li>Must have understanding of news footage and the creative process behind footage selection </li><li>Must possess a basic understanding of copyright, intellectual property and rights of privacy </li><li>Strong customer-facing project management experience </li><li>Proven ability to manage several large multiple scale projects on time and in scope without supervision </li><li>Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with Avid, NCS and Galaxy (will train) a plus </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors or equivalent work experience </li></ul> <p>#JConference2025</p> <p>The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $61,400 to $82,400 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.</p>
