<p>The Estimator must be capable of presenting their estimate to the leadership team, demonstrating high competency of all components of the estimate and include back-up supporting documentation to defend the estimate and the information used to assemble it. The Estimator will be expected to communicate clearly and confidently to leadership, and all team members regarding the aspects of their estimate. Estimators must have the ability to work independently as a team and delegate work to estimators while mentoring them to improve their capabilities.</p> <p>The Estimator will be expected to evaluate and compare high voltage estimates from other third party contractors for all aspects of the high voltage development including scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality. The Estimator will be expected to prepare and facilitates high voltage bid documents to third party high voltage contractors for high voltage bid proposals.</p> <p>Estimators must have the ability to work independently and as a team, accept guidance when needed and delegate work to other developing estimators while mentoring to improve their capabilities.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Estimate projects in accordance with Primoris Policies and Work Procedures. </li><li>Attends weekly internal and external engineering, contracting, and pricing meetings to ensure all deliverables are being completed on time and to expectations. </li><li>Prepares high voltage bid estimates by gathering project drawings, specifications, and related documents. </li><li>Consult with vendors, subcontractors, and internal personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate high voltage estimates and resolve issues. </li><li>Reviews and compare high voltage bid proposals from vendors and subcontractors. </li><li>Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents. </li><li>Analyzes regional labor rates and per diems to be used in the estimate. </li><li>Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. </li><li>Ability to confer with engineers, vendors and subcontractors to develop value engineering ideas to drive project design and drive project design and economics. </li><li>Reviews project schedule; engineering, procurement, construction, and client deliverables. Utilizes feedback from Project Engineering and Procurement on material lead times and design durations. Holds key stakeholders accountable to deliverable dates. </li><li>Coordinates with Estimating Manager and Contracts team to ensure that scope, schedule, and other exhibits match estimate. </li><li>Assist with risk reviews with Lead Estimator. Identifies mitigation strategy for each identified risk. Develop opportunity log with lead estimator. </li><li>Presents to leadership their own estimates and provides supervisory support for estimates prepared by their team. </li><li>Assist to generate and submit proposal package for review. </li><li>Review the scope, schedule and price, and support LNTP's as necessary with the Preconstruction Manager. </li><li>Assist in contract review process by working closely with the Lead Estimator and Preconstruction Manager to review and the relevant exhibits. </li><li>Assist with transition from the Preconstruction phase to the Construction phase by transferring information gained to the Construction team, including review of contract terms, estimates, schedules, value engineering, subcontract review, and similar areas. </li><li>Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Prefer BS degree in a business or engineering disciplined program. </li><li>Preference given for experience in Solar, Renewable Energy, or Power Generation. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years' experience, 3-4 years preferred in estimating HV construction projects. </li><li>Working knowledge of estimating fundamentals. </li><li>Demonstrated skills in oral communications; ability to make presentations to large, diverse groups. </li><li>Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills. </li><li>General understanding of Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus and Unit contract pricing mechanisms. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software (B2W or similar), take-off software (On-Screen Takeoff or similar), and scheduling software (Microsoft Project or similar). </li><li>Project Management proficiency: scheduling, cost management, client management. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Paid Company Holidays </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>We provide paid sick leave as required by Colorado's Healthy Families and Workplaces Act. </li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA/HSA, Short Term/Long Term Disability, 401K with matching contribution. </li><li>Salary $100,000 - $130,000 annually dependent on experience, qualifications and competencies. </li></ul>
