<p>Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Performs duties necessary to treat patients in accordance with the physicians' orders and department policy. Performs all procedures under the supervision of a Respiratory Therapist. Job duties will be assigned based on student's clinical progression and competency validation.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Be the difference.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs respiratory therapy procedures in accordance with the physician's order, departmental policy, and the Respiratory Care Guidelines (RT Consult). May not take verbal orders or modify orders.</p> </li><li> <p>Documents and charges for respiratory care procedures and provides patient and family education.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates well with supervisors, therapists and technicians. Provides a complete and accurate report</p> </li><li> <p>May perform blood gasses from all sites. Analyzes and reports results.</p> </li><li> <p>Adheres to infection control and quality initiatives.
