Learned</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>PRIMARY FUNCTION: Seeking a dedicated and flexible Hybrid Substitute Teacher to provide instructional coverage and support across classrooms in our school. In the absence of the regular classroom teacher, the Hybrid Substitute Teacher will help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible individuals.</p> <p>TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provide classroom instruction following teacher lesson plans when covering for absences </li><li>Support daily instructional activities, including small group or individual student support. </li><li>Assist with classroom management to create a safe, positive learning environment </li><li>Collaborate with grade-level teams, intervention staff, and administrators to support schoolwide learning goals </li><li>Supervise student during transitions, lunch, recess, and dismissal when necessary </li><li>Serve as a consistent, dependable presence for students and staff </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree required, valid CT teaching certification preferred </li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom group/population of students. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to implement plans/instructions provided to them by teachers. </li></ul> <p>PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual, English and Spanish </li><li>Prior teaching or substitute teaching experience strongly preferred </li></ul> <p>New London Public School District is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.</p> <p>Candidates from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.</p>
