<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Genetix is seeking an accomplished Director of Corporate Development & Strategy to join the CEO Office and lead external partnering initiatives that support the advancement of our market leading curative therapies. Reporting to the Chief of Staff (CoS), this position will be responsible for identifying and structuring external collaborations aligned with corporate growth strategies, including strategic alliances, co-development agreements, and in-licensing opportunities. This individual will facilitate end-to-end partnership transactions including search & evaluation, due diligence, term negotiations, deal execution, and alliance management.</p> <p>This opportunity is suited for candidates with strong business acumen, drug development fluency, cross-functional leadership, and exceptional relationship building skills. The successful candidate will have experience in conducting primary and secondary research, developing compelling executive presentations to convey strategic narratives, performing quantitative and financial analyses, and producing actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions. Previous experience in business development, corporate strategy, alliance management, or strategy consulting within the biopharma or life sciences industry is required.</p> <p>The role offers a unique opportunity to join the CEO office to partner closely with the CoS and CEO on high-impact strategic initiatives, while engaging with colleagues across the organization with high visibility to the Genetix's Executive Leadership Team and board of directors. The position is based at Genetix's headquarters in Somerville, MA, and requires to be in the office 3-4 days per week.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Strategic Partnering & Business Development</p> <ul> <li>Define in-licensing strategy to further advance Genetix's portfolio of curative therapies </li><li>Identify, evaluate, and pursue external strategic partnerships that align with corporate strategy </li><li>Assess new assets and technologies for fit with Genetix's portfolio and growth strategy </li><li>Lead end-to-end deal processes, including outreach, diligence, term sheet negotiation, contract execution, and integration planning </li><li>Partner with investors to source and assess opportunities </li><li>Craft corporate presentations and lead deal conversations with potential partners </li></ul> <p>Alliance Management</p> <ul> <li>Post deal execution, establish, lead, and manage strategic alliances coordinating with external and internal stakeholders </li><li>Develop and implement best practices for alliance governance, reporting, and monitoring </li><li>Serve as a primary point of contact for external partners, ensuring alignment with Genetix's strategic objectives </li></ul> <p>Corporate Strategy</p> <ul> <li>Lead market research and competitive intelligence activities to inform business development and corporate strategy </li><li>Monitor industry trends, regulatory development, and deal activity </li><li>Partner with CoS and CEO to develop and refine the overall corporate strategy and long-term vision </li><li>Prepare and deliver materials for the executive leadership team, board meetings, investor meetings, and other external engagements </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required, MBA strongly preferred </li><li>8+ years of experience in business development, alliance management, corporate strategy, or strategy consulting within the biotech or life sciences industry. </li><li>Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships </li><li>Demonstrated success establishing and managing strategic alliances </li><li>Deep understanding of drug development and commercialization </li><li>Ability to understand the science, clinical development, and commercial implications of assets under evaluation </li><li>Experience with Cell & Gene Therapy and rare disease strongly preferred </li><li>Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; ability to synthesize complex data and develop actionable insights </li><li>Proven ability to work effectively with executive leaders and cross-functional teams </li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. </li><li>High energy, entrepreneurial mindset, and passion for advancing innovative medicines for patients </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Base Salary Range: $211,000 - $266,000</p> <p>The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and long-term incentive. Actual base salary pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, relevant education/qualifications, external market, internal equity, and other job-related factors permitted by law.</p> <p>Genetix's total rewards package also provides employees with a comprehensive and competitive benefits suite to support a variety of employee needs.
