<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Financial Accountant will prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, credit card analysis, and account reviews. The Financial Accountant will serve as backup to other team members in the accounting group, as needed, and will be a well-rounded financial and accounting professional.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Entering financial data and transactions into the general ledger</p> </li><li> <p>Preparing monthly journal entries</p> </li><li> <p>Reconciling balance sheet accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis</p> </li><li> <p>Ensuring control policies are followed</p> </li><li> <p>Account analysis as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Credit card analysis and recording in general ledger</p> </li><li> <p>Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other related duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration</p> </li><li> <p>2-3 years experience in accounting or finance position</p> </li><li> <p>Thorough understanding of accounting procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferred. </li></ul> <p>Competencies:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Detail oriented.</p> </li><li> <p>Highly motivated.</p> </li><li> <p>Flexibility.</p> </li><li> <p>Personal Effectiveness/Credibility.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaboration Skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Self-Starter.</p> </li><li> <p>Time Management.</p> </li><li> <p>Effective use of Excel, QuickBooks</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to ask for help/assistance.</p> </li><li> <p>Intellectually curious.</p> </li></ul>
