<p>Payette School District has the following opening:</p> <p>Seasonal Groundskeeper/Mower (Full-Time)</p> <p>The mowing position is to include the operation of riding and walk behind mowers, weed eaters, edger's, leaf blowers, and assorted hand tools that are required in maintaining the Payette School District campus grounds. Responsible for maintaining grounds equipment, sharpening blades, keeping mowers clean & operational; checking oil & fuel and refill as needed. General grounds duties to include weed elimination, tree and shrub trimming, spraying and fertilizing, sprinkler and irrigation systems, sprinkler head and components maintenance, watering schedules, and overall grounds maintenance with exposure to health and occupational hazards. The job is physically demanding with repetitive bending, lifting, and walking for long periods of time. Applicant must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively throughout the day. Applicant must be willing/able to cope with all types of weather, dust and fumes caused by equipment, and work- related noise.</p> <p>Hours will vary according to school events and watering schedules. This is a seasonal, full-time position, mid-March through November 15th (weather permitting).</p> <p>Duties are assigned by the maintenance supervisor. Additional duties may be determined by the building administrator and district office. Employee must have the ability to work independently, and/or interact with other departments and staff. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.</p> <p>Assignments often involve heavy lifting, multiple tasks, and inclement weather.</p> <p>Payette School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer, as defined and required by state and federal laws.
