<p>The Position:</p> <p>Adjunct Professor, Graduate and Continuing Education (GCE)</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Muhlenberg College invites applications for part-time, evening, synchronous online faculty positions in our Master's in Business Administration (MBA) program. The College seeks faculty with a commitment to adult professionals in and out of the classroom with expertise in one or more of the following areas: accounting, marketing, management, economics, finance, business strategy, risk management, global supply chains, business ethics, or innovation. Qualified candidates will have either an earned PhD in an appropriate discipline or a minimum of a Master's degree and significant professional experience.</p> <p>Characteristic Responsibilities:</p> <p>Fully responsible for all aspects of course instruction</p> <ul> <li> <p>Facilitate online course and class instruction, in accordance with learning objectives and course outlines specified by Muhlenberg College.</p> </li><li> <p>Actively engage students in each class session.</p> </li><li> <p>Network with and provide career advice to students.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate student performance based on course deliverables and rubrics.</p> </li><li> <p>Assign final grades for the course in Workday.</p> </li></ul> <p>Develop and maintain updated course materials</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and adapt syllabi.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with Digital Learning Team to create materials for online synchronous and asynchronous delivery models.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop course materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Use Canvas as the course learn management system.</p> </li></ul> <p>Participate in training offered through Muhlenberg</p> <ul> <li> <p>Attend two graduate faculty meetings annually (January and August).</p> </li><li> <p>Complete the Roadmap training course.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in other trainings as they are available.</p> </li></ul> <p>Participate in programmatic discussions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Coordinate course content with the graduate program coordinator.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate in periodic program planning meetings.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of master's degree; Ph.D. preferred, or other terminal degree in the field of practice.</p> </li><li> <p>Relevant professional experience in academic field.</p> </li><li> <p>Prior teaching at the college/university level preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with digital learning methods and technology preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Commitment to the ideals of a liberal arts education.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive academic and professional environment where all members of our campus community are respected, valued, can succeed, and thrive.</p> </li><li> <p>Successful completion of satisfactory background checks including but not limited to education verification, criminal background, and child abuse clearance.</p> </li></ul> <p>The College & Surrounding Area: Founded in 1848, Muhlenberg College is a private, residential, liberal arts college offering baccalaureate and graduate programs.
