You'll be at the center of daily operations-helping customers, supporting sales, and learning how a manufacturing business runs from the inside. If you're organized, proactive, and enjoy solving problems, this role will give you the opportunity to build valuable skills and grow your career quickly.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Be the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email</p> <p>Manage and prioritize incoming requests, routing them to the appropriate sales team members</p> <p>Review and process customer purchase orders with strong attention to detail</p> <p>Create and maintain order documentation and customer records</p> <p>Monitor customer portals to identify new sales opportunities</p> <p>Identify and resolve order discrepancies (pricing, quantities, shipping details, etc.)</p> <p>Support reporting and sales tracking activities</p> <p>Learn company products and industry fundamentals through ongoing training</p> <p>Collaborate across teams to ensure a smooth customer experience</p> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <p>High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred</p> <p>Internship, part-time job, or early experience in business, sales, or customer service is a plus</p> <p>Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn</p> <p>Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks at once</p> <p>Customer-first mindset and positive, team-oriented attitude</p> <p>Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)</p> <p>Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce is helpful but not required</p> <p>About Fairbanks Morse Engine Located in Beloit, Wisconsin, Fairbanks Morse Engine (FME) manufactures and delivers high-performance engines used by the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and allied fleets around the world.
