Safety employees enjoy a positive environment in our convenient downtown office located in the heart of Boston's financial district.</p> <p>Along with our competitive salaries, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental insurance, 100% matching 401k retirement plan, 100% tuition reimbursement and much, much more!</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Completes fair and accurate disposition of pending total loss claims through evaluation, settlement, or recommendation</p> <p>Duties</p> <ul> <li>Evaluates total loss appraisals to effect settlement within authority </li><li>Uses available resources to determine accurate actual cash value </li><li>Negotiates vehicle value with 1st and 3rd parties and their representatives </li><li>Controls salvage costs and resolution. </li><li>Works with manager to resolve difficult situations </li><li>Develops and maintains claim files that document all activities </li><li>Evaluates and settles 1st and 3rd party substitute transportation claims. </li><li>Performs other activities as required </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>College degree or equivalent work experience required </li><li>1+ years of property claims experience required </li><li>Total loss negotiation experience preferred </li></ul>
