<p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Assistant LTR Coordinator will initiate the ripening process on Chiquita's LTRs. They will also learn and be able to fill in the LTR Coordinators absence.</p> <p>Detailed duties and responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Initiate the ripening process. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. </li><li>Enter containers in Chiquita's C2DACS system </li><li>Manage ethylene inventory </li><li>Meet with and exchange information with Chiquita's vessels LTR Coordinators </li><li>Monitor and adjust O2 / CO2 as well as other ripening parameters </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School graduate or GED </li><li>Physically able to climb a ladder (the height of a container to close vents). </li><li>Must be able to lift and move about 50 lbs. </li><li>Detail oriented </li><li>Multi-tasking capabilities </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to prioritize tasks </li><li>Computer literate </li><li>Microsoft Excel knowledge a plus </li><li>Strong communication skills </li></ul> <p>Job environment:</p> <p>The Assistant LTR Coordinator must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions unsupervised. He needs to be able to make necessary process adjustments based on data (readings) and customers requirements. He also needs to be able to move equipment around a 30 acre yard and initiate (start) the ripening process on 20 - 50 containers daily.</p> <p>Rotating weekend work as needed.</p>
