Our technologies, products and services deliver distinctive performance features, thus helping to support our Customers' reputations for trusted brands around the globe and in a wide variety of markets.</p> <p>We are seeking an individual who is passionate about joining a team in the manufacturing of high quality laminates and films used in a variety of applications including on cabinetry in kitchen and bath applications, countertops and paneling in recreational vehicles and in the enhancement of interior retail spaces.</p> <p>The Electrical Mechanical Technician (EMT) works as part of a team responsible for maintaining all electrical and mechanical equipment necessary to operate the facility to produce decorative laminate films. This technician will be assigned to work alone or with a group depending on the job requirements and be an active participant in plant safety. This position will work from a daily schedule, however, must be flexible depending on our schedule to meet customer requirements.</p> <p>Hourly pay rate is based on skill, progressing over a 24-month period.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Have a Safety-First approach- Demonstrate/perform a commitment to safety by actively participating in training, working safely, and continuously working to improve the work environment, while supporting a positive safety culture. </li><li>Inspect, test, and perform preventative maintenance to specified equipment for production or building services. </li><li>Rebuild equipment as necessary, e.g., pumps/rolls/gear-reducers/rotary unions/blowers/choppers/fans/air shafts/clutches. </li><li>Analyze and troubleshoot machinery or process problems as necessary. </li><li>Provide on-call and off-shift support for the facility to include potential work/overtime work on weekends, holidays, and during maintenance shutdowns. </li><li>Have a working knowledge of all procedures necessary to perform equipment and facility maintenance. </li><li>Works with cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement improvements including but not limited to Safety, Maintenance, Production, and Engineering. </li><li>Make determinations on equipment malfunctions, solve problems, and recommend solutions for electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems. </li><li>Perform skilled duties on, but not limited to motors, drives, converters, controllers, circuit boards, relays, electronic or electrical components, power distribution systems, lighting, HVAC, and general building utility services. </li><li>Plan, layout, estimate and implement minor and major repairs, changes or installations as needed. </li><li>Work from schedules, drawings, schematics, manuals, written and verbal instructions with standard maintenance practices to provide timely service to all departmental equipment. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: </li><li>Demonstrated ability to function as part of a team in a high-performance work environment </li><li>Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls Aptitude </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED Required </li><li>Trade certification in electromechanical maintenance or a related field is preferred. </li><li>At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance or similar role. </li><li>Prefer 3+ years' experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Available to work all shifts as needed </li><li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed. </li><li>Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities, including but not limited to ladders, stairs, mezzanines, and roof. </li><li>Frequently positions self to use/maintain personal protective equipment. </li><li>Comfortable with working in a manufacturing environment alongside machines, equipment, etc. </li></ul> <p>Travel Requirements:</p> <p>Time spent away from home or typical office location.</p> <p>0%? 10%? 20%? 30%? 40%? 50% or more</p> <p>Company Statement:</p> <p>SURTECO is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to providing equal access to employment.
