<p>SUMMARY OF POSITION</p> <p>The Waste Pro Scale Operator is responsible for weighing trucks on scale; entering appropriate data into computer (price, product, weight, customer name, etc.); generating bill of sale; collecting cash/checks; interfacing with company personnel and with outside haulers; performing related duties as directed.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Operates the weight station scale </li><li>Greets and assists the public in a friendly manner providing quality customer service </li><li>Enters information into computer program on a daily basis </li><li>Prepares daily deposit </li><li>Balances and handles cash drawer on a daily basis </li><li>Answers the phone, Checks mail </li><li>Prepares customer charge account invoices for billing </li><li>Receives, annotates, and processes payments </li><li>Prepares monthly and yearly reports as requested </li><li>Maintains a clean, safe environment in the scale office </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred </li><li>Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision </li><li>Ability to deal effectively with people. </li><li>Excellent verbal communication skills are required. </li><li>Ability to multitask. </li><li>Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>MS Word and MS Excel skills required. </li><li>Position may be required to provide coverage to other area as needed. Evening and/or weekend overtime work may be required depending on business need. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to sit for long periods of time. </li><li>Use of telephone, computers, cell phones and other electronic devices is essential. </li><li>Must have the ability to use computerized equipment and technology </li></ul>
