<p>The Tenth Judicial District, which includes eight counties in the Northern Suburbs of the Twin Cities Metro Area, is seeking qualified applicants for a Full-Time Temporary Court Operations Associate to join the Washington County Court Administration team in Stillwater, MN.</p> <p>This exciting temporary position involves delivering exceptional service to court customers, judges, and other court-related employees by processing and supporting courtroom functions in criminal, juvenile, family, civil and probate division case types. We are seeking individuals with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-performance environment. As a Temporary Court Operations Associate, you will have the opportunity to work in both the Court Scheduling and Criminal Divisions, using your judgment and available resources to handle a variety of administrative tasks. Join us in this impactful role and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering outstanding service in the legal system.</p> <p>WHAT YOU WILL DO</p> <p>The following are examples of major job duties expected of this position:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performs in-court updating including processing documents filed and distributed in the courtroom, and recording required data in the electronic case management and other relevant systems in the courtroom.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform a variety of advanced clerical functions and multiple case types.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide assistance to attorneys, parties, judges, and the public by responding to a variety of questions in-person, over the phone, by mail, and/or electronically.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform courtroom support by working with judges, court reporters, and other justice partners, calling cases, taking notes, and handling documents in the courtroom.</p> </li><li> <p>Review, enter, record, and update case information using an electronic case processing system and related applications and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule and maintain court calendars.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform independently the full scope of varied clerical court work relating to criminal and traffic case processing on the Minnesota Court Information System (MNCIS), electronic File and Serve.</p> </li><li> <p>Classify and verify appropriate document security levels of submitted filings.</p> </li><li> <p>Issue receipts for payment of court fees, fines, bail, and restitution; receive, review, process, and/or receipt amounts due for witness fees, transcripts, psychological examiners, court appointed attorneys, and interpreters.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>The Minnesota Judicial Branch recognizes the diverse set of skills, strengths, and attributes that an individual may bring into a role. If you have any combination of the experience, training, and education required for this position, apply today!</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>One (1) year of relevant job experience or greater, which may include but is not limited to customer service, administrative work, office, and clerical work.</p> </li></ul> <p>NICE TO HAVE</p> <ul> <li> <p>Proficient in Microsoft office Suite, with the ability to learn other job-related software.</p> </li><li> <p>Certificate or degree in a related field.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic knowledge of court procedures, policies, and records management.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with electronic document applications, workflow queues and web-based video and audio platforms.</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortability addressing and speaking in front of groups of people.</p> </li></ul> <p>WHAT YOU WILL BRING</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to learn rules of court, state statutes, case processing, policies, and procedures of the area of court assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Skill in navigating difficult situations and resolving conflict in a respectful and courteous manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of basic math.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to provide exceptional customer service while working under pressure in a high volume, fast-paced environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Skill in the operation of a personal computer, including electronic case management system and related applications and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others within and outside of the Judicial Branch.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to effectively support court users who have limited experience with the judicial system.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters and files appropriately and in compliance with all applicable court rules, policies, and statutes.</p> </li><li> <p>Well organized, detail oriented, and analytical.</p> </li></ul> <p>SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work is performed in an office-setting at Washington County Courthouse at 14949 62nd Street N., Stillwater, MN 55082.</p> </li><li> <p>The expected hiring range for external hires for this position is $22.50 to $28.45, based on qualifications.</p> </li><li> <p>This position is anticipated to be assigned approximately 12-months from the employee's start date.</p> </li><li> <p>This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.</p> </li><li> <p>Core business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Initial days off: Saturday, Sunday, and Court Designated Holidays.</p> </li></ul>
