Prior veterinary experience is helpful but not required-what matters most is a genuine passion for supporting veterinary teams and delivering exceptional service to pets and their families.</p> <p>About the HospitalEl Cerrito Veterinary Care is a modern, full-service hospital serving pets and families throughout the East Bay, including El Cerrito, Berkeley, Oakland, and surrounding communities. We are proud to deliver high-quality medical, dental, surgical, and diagnostic care in a collaborative, supportive environment where both our patients and our team members thrive.</p> <p>Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with weekends as needed.Compensation: $28-$35 per hour, depending on experience.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide day-to-day leadership and support to hospital team members </li><li>Foster a positive, engaged, and accountable team culture </li><li>Partner closely with the Chief of Staff to ensure smooth hospital operations and alignment on hospital goals and priorities </li><li>Build and maintain a strong, collaborative working relationship with the Chief of Staff and medical team to support clinical excellence and team success </li><li>Assist with staff scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management </li><li>Support inventory management, hospital operations, and administrative processes </li><li>Help create an efficient, organized, and welcoming environment for clients, patients, and team members </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred </li><li>A team-oriented professional who is passionate about veterinary medicine and interested in growing their leadership skills </li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities </li><li>Ability to build relationships, motivate team members, and lead by example </li><li>Experience in customer service, operations, healthcare, hospitality, or team leadership roles is a plus </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive pay based on experience </li><li>Paid Time Off (PTO) </li><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance </li><li>401(k) with company match (if applicable) </li><li>Continuing education and professional development opportunities </li><li>Employee pet care discounts </li><li>Supportive, team-oriented work environment </li></ul>
