<p>Position Title Senior Office Assistant-Dean's Office Division College of Agriculture Department Dean of Ag, Human, Natural Sciences Number of hours per week 37.5 Days to be worked Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Months per year Fiscal (12 months) If modified, list months Job Type Full-Time Campus Main Campus If other location, please indicate Position Number 004600 Advertised Salary $32,248 - $38,697 $16.54- $19.85 DOE Pay Basis Semi-Monthly Job Description</p> <p>Tennessee State University invites applications for the position of Senior Office Assistant- Dean's Office.</p> <p>This is a 12-month full-time position to manage class scheduling and registration, payroll, purchasing, travel, and Graduate Research Assistants working closely with the Graduate Coordinator, Department Head, and Dean of the College of Agriculture.</p> <p>The incumbent will work closely with faculty and Department Head in scheduling classes, assist students with course registration, and prepare faculty workloads, hiring proposals and payroll, including contact with the Records, Budget, Bursar, and Financial Aid offices to facilitate these departmental and college functions. The successful candidate is expected to: prepare and submit contracts and Personnel Action Requests using PeopleAdmin; process, calculate and submits budget revisions as needed; maintain and submit monthly timesheets for staff and students; maintain records for payroll, leave requests, contracts, and Summer Appointments; process travel requisitions and travel claims; process Work-Aid contracts, ensure that timesheets are submitted timely; and perform other related duties as assigned.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>HS graduate or equivalent with at least one year of college. A minimum of three years of general office experience to include at least one year working for manager level and/or above. Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and Power Point.
