<p>The Senior Collections Specialist is responsible for managing overdue accounts, negotiating</p> <p>repayment plans, and ensuring timely debt recovery, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring compliance with all</p> <p>applicable laws and company policies.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Handles complex and severely delinquent accounts </li><li>Successfully contact and collect past due balances on assigned customers </li><li>Negotiate payment plans, settlements, or credit extensions while maintaining fairness and </li></ul> <p>compliance with relevant laws</p> <ul> <li>Review and monitor delinquent accounts, maintain losses within targets, and take action on special </li></ul> <p>cases</p> <ul> <li>Work with and involve appropriate parties to resolve billing disputes, short-payments and </li></ul> <p>discrepancies</p> <ul> <li> <p>Communicate with customers professionally and proactively</p> </li><li> <p>Answer all calls as they arrive, returning calls the same day</p> </li><li> <p>Contact customers regarding payments, account irregularities, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and enter transactional information</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate records of all communication, payment agreements, and account status in</p> </li></ul> <p>databases and collection systems</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work with assigned branches to reconcile credits and outstanding balances</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor accounts to track repayment progress and assist with generating reports for management</p> </li><li> <p>Provide special project support as requested</p> </li><li> <p>Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in AR operations</p> </li><li> <p>Escalate significant issues timely</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>4+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections </li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Office, IFS) </li><li>Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables </li><li>Strong communication skills </li><li>Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team </li><li>Accuracy and attention to detail </li></ul> <p>Competencies:</p> <p>To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies in this position:</p> <p>Resourcefulness</p> <p>Customer Focus Team Player Passion</p> <p>Integrity Organizational/Planning Communication</p> <p>Self-Awareness Energy</p> <p>Target Salary Range: $49,000-$52,500 year. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
