<p>Job#: 3026687</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Title: Computer Operator II (Contract-to-Hire)</p> <p>Contract Length: 6-Month CTH</p> <p>Location: 100% Onsite - Santa Ana, CA</p> <p>Shift: 3rd Shift - Wednesday-Saturday, 10:00 PM-6:30 AM</p> <p>Off Days: Monday & Tuesday</p> <p>Requirements: Background screening required</p> <p>Conversion Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000 annually</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a Computer Operator II to support a Command Center Operations team within a 24/7 datacenter environment. This role is responsible for monitoring and executing nightly batch processing, overseeing system and facility alerts, conducting routine campus walkthroughs, and providing escalation support.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, effective under pressure, and proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Visio.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Batch & System Operations</p> <ul> <li>Execute and monitor nightly batch production processing using Control-M for both Open Systems and WINTEL Systems. </li><li>Monitor nightly data protection jobs using Rubrik Cloud. </li><li>Monitor server and network performance using SolarWinds Orion. </li><li>Oversee facility alerts via SiteScan. </li><li>Monitor data center security through Genetec Security Center (CCTV). </li><li>Monitor OnBase polling workstations. </li></ul> <p>Facilities & Data Center Support</p> <ul> <li>Perform recurring facility walk-throughs multiple times per shift. </li><li>Escort authorized visitors as required. </li><li>Navigate multi-level buildings; must be able to go up and down stairs. </li></ul> <p>Communication & Incident Response</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate on-call escalation and support incident response processes. </li><li>Document, update, and track incidents within ServiceNow. </li><li>Support ITIL-aligned processes including Incident Management and Change Requests. </li></ul> <p>General Skills & Tools</p> <ul> <li>Perform ad-hoc tasks in Excel and Visio. </li><li>Maintain strong verbal and written communication. </li><li>Work independently and stay alert during overnight hours. </li></ul> <p>Top Required Skills</p> <ul> <li>Control-M schedule monitoring and execution </li><li>Batch processing monitoring and execution </li><li>Hands-on computer operations experience </li><li>Reliable, team-focused individual seeking stability </li><li>ServiceNow ticket entry and communications </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma required </li><li>2+ years of related experience in computer operations, or equivalent technical training </li></ul> <p>Apex Systems is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
