<p>Price Engineering, a SunSource company, specializes in engineered custom products and solutions through engineering resource management, research, planning and development in the areas of hydraulics, pneumatics, automation and electrical systems. www.priceeng.com</p> <p>The Industrial / Automation Engineer will work closely with our account managers to develop innovative Industrial and automation solutions to help increase component sales.</p> <p>Required Skills and Education:</p> <p>Bachelor degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent applicable work experience)</p> <p>Advanced mathematical skills for calculation of design equations</p> <p>Excellent communication skills to explain technical specifics to peers and customers</p> <p>Writing skills for preparing manuals, parts lists, proposals and design documentation</p> <p>Ability to supervise technicians</p> <p>Focus and concentration to understand complex electrical systems</p> <p>Self-motivation to keep up with current electrical advances using new technologies</p> <p>Using industry-specific tools to analyze and test electronics</p> <p>Time-management skills for meeting deadlines</p> <p>Preferred Software Experience:</p> <p>Experience with IEC 61131-3 PLC languages (Structured text, Func. Block, CFC, Ladder)</p> <p>Experience with Codesys 3.5 a plus (Eaton, Festo, IFM, etc.)</p> <p>Familiarity with industrial fieldbus/Ethernet protocols</p> <p>Experienced with HMI (human machine interface) software</p> <p>Experience with 2D electrical CAD modeling (AutoCAD electrical or equivalent)</p> <p>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Work within our engineering best practices and follow our standards for electrical schematics, panels, programming and system solutions.</p> <p>Designing and laying out new and existing electrical systems</p> <p>Work closely with sales directors and engineering team to develop preferred component standardization.</p> <p>Work with other engineers on circuit and system designs for projects.</p> <p>Work closely with pricing / purchasing to identify standard suppliers, components, and costs.</p> <p>Working closely with manufacturing and production to oversee projects.</p> <p>Producing necessary design reports and documentation.</p> <p>Testing new systems and making design changes as needed.</p> <p>Off-Site commissioning and field service.</p> <p>Engineering Systems and Sales Support:</p> <p>Working with account managers to develop system statements of work.</p> <p>Preparing cost estimates for customers and other employees.</p> <p>Interacting with customers using verbal and written communication.</p> <p>Product development.</p> <p>Creating product documentation and records</p> <p>Product Application, Integration and Technical Support:</p> <p>Festo electric drives and handling units</p> <p>Festo smart valve terminals</p> <p>VFD's - Danfoss Drives</p> <p>Yaskawa Motion Control Product</p> <p>Fluid Power Motion Control Products</p> <p>Electrical Panels</p> <p>IMI/Norgren/Bimba - electric drives and handling units</p> <p>A&B PLC's & HMI's</p> <p>We are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer M/F/V/D.
