Please see the Supplemental Information section below for details!</p> <p>Work Unit:</p> <p>The Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) exists to ensure that all children receive financial and medical support from each parent through the location of each parent, the establishment of paternity and support obligations, the enforcement of those obligations and connection to resources to assist parents in overcoming any barriers that are impeding their ability to pay child support. To do this, DCSS collaboratively provides case management tools, policy, performance, and operational assistance, and ongoing training to support counties in delivering the child support services program.</p> <p>The program operates in sixty-four (64) counties in Colorado and is administered locally by the county departments of human/social services. The Division supervises county departments of human/social services in the administration of the program and is responsible for ensuring that all sixty-four (64) counties comply with federal and state statutes and regulations. Division staff write policies and rules; train county staff on policies, procedures and effective case management skills; provide technical assistance to counties on automated systems issues and ongoing implementation; work with the General Assembly on legislative and fiscal initiatives affecting program operation; report to the federal government on federal grants implementation; monitor county performance in their implementation of the program; and allocate federal incentives to the counties for their use in implementing the program. The Division is the primary link between the county departments of human/social services and the federal government on many issues. The Division also works closely with other Divisions and Offices within the Department, other state agencies, the General Assembly, the Governor's Office and client advocacy organizations in the implementation of the program.</p> <p>Opt in below to receive text message updates on CDHS recruiting events!</p> <p>CDHSCareers</p> <p>This position is currently hybrid - 2 days in office</p> <p> Office Hours 8 am - 5 pm negotiate specific hours when hired, core hours 9 am - 3 pm and must work eight hours a day.</p> <p>Please note: These working arrangements are subject to change.</p> <p>About this Position:</p> <p>The position provides professional administrative and logistical support to Division staff and projects. The position accomplishes this by applying knowledge of and/or interpreting basic principles, rules, procedures, or other federal, state, department, and division guidelines. The position utilizes established processes and support necessary to maintain essential functions of the Division's strategic plan and associated goals/objectives. The position uses judgment and resourcefulness to solve problems in a variety of situations. The position is charged with setting priorities and tracking systems to complete ongoing and one-time tasks. This position provides general support responsibilities which include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Coordinating phone and computer resources, </p> </li><li> <p>Routing documents through clearance, </p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining a system for managing hardcopy and electronic documents,</p> </li><li> <p>Special projects,</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinating in- and out-of-state travel, and </p> </li><li> <p>Support of on-site and off-site events and meetings.</p> </li></ul> <p>This position must provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers while resolving problems, answering questions, and providing information, and advising others on Division administration matters. Answers such as "N/A," "In Cover Letter," or "See Resume" will not be accepted.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Experience Only:</p> <ul> <li>Five (5) years of experience in administrative, secretarial, or senior assistant roles, demonstrating skills in scheduling, communication, project management, and general office operations. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience: </p> <ul> <li>A combination of related education in business administration and/or relevant experience in administrative, secretarial, or senior assistant roles, demonstrating skills in scheduling, communication, project management, and general office operations equal to five (5) years </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong technical skills with proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and other relevant software.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, including file and records management and office operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft professional correspondence and engage with internal and external clients.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.</p> </li><li> <p>High attention to detail with accuracy while managing multiple tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.</p> </li><li> <p>Effective interpersonal skills for building and maintaining positive relationships.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.</p> </li><li> <p>Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and situations.</p> </li><li> <p>Critical thinking and decision-making skills with sound judgment.</p> </li><li> <p>Relevant years of State service should be considered as a preferred qualification to be used to determine the top candidates on the referral list.
