<p>Overview</p> <p>About Electric Boat - Department 475 Department 475 (D475) is responsible for managing the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) Network (NNPP Net) at Electric Boat. The NNPP Net is a classified Wide Area Network (WAN) and provides electronic data communications for NNPI up to CON-RD level.</p> <p>D475 is seeking a well-rounded, highly motivated individual with solid technical skills to join its IT team. The position is for a senior level Windows Server Administrator looking to learn and grow within the team in a fast paced environment. The role requires an advanced understanding of technology including server, network, virtualization, database, application and scripting skills.</p> <p>The successful candidate will be expected to attend training sessions to maintain and improve skillsets as well as cross train peers. The position provides challenging work and a means to continue gaining technical skills and broadening experience.</p> <p>Since the NNPP Net is not internet facing this position is 100% on-site, with no remote work availability.</p> <p>Windows Server Administrator Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Managing, administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows Servers </li><li>Managing, administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining networked printers </li><li>Managing, administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining Commercial off the shelf (COTS) client/server applications </li><li>Managing, administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining VMware vSphere </li><li>Researching, deploying, testing, and maintaining security best practices </li><li>Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors </li><li>Managing user access </li><li>Monitoring system performance </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field </li><li>Applicant must possess, or be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance </li><li>Six or more years of experience post graduation as a Windows Systems Administrator or similar role </li><li>Experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 Operating Systems </li><li>Experience with administering and maintaining Microsoft PKI (ADCS) </li><li>Experience administering and maintaining Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy </li><li>Experience administering and maintaining Windows Server Failover Clustering </li><li>Experience hardening systems (DISA STIGs/CIS Benchmarks/NIST 800.53) </li><li>Experience administering VMware vSphere systems (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN) </li><li>Advanced PowerShell/PowerShell scripting knowledge and experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Active DoD Secret Clearance </li><li>Previous experience administering DoD, military, or Federal Government systems </li><li>Fundamental Unix/Linux knowledge </li><li>Endpoint Security Systems (ESS) Knowledge </li><li>Hardware Security Module (HSM) management experience </li><li></li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills </li><li>The ability to work independently or as part of a team </li></ul> <p>Physical Qualifications</p> <p>Climbing, Crawling, Heavy Lifting, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting</p> <p>Environmental Attributes</p> <p>Cold, Dry, Dusty, Hot, Inside, Noise, Outside</p>
