Works directly with Human Resources EVP with corporate wide initiatives and assists with compliance with local, state and federal regulations including all regulatory filing requirements. Provides human resources support relating to all phases of human resources activity for assigned region (effectively supporting approximately 20 leaders and 100 employees). Advises regional supervisors/managers on various employment issues, including deficient performance of employees and appropriate counseling/disciplinary measures, interpretation of employment policies, salary administration, etc. </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Works closely with EVP of Human Resources on Corporate HR Initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists the EVP of Human Resources with the following, but not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Recommending changes/updates to the Policies and Programs Handbook and Code of Conduct. <p></p> </li><li> <p>Creating HR training programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensuring Corporate Compliance with local, state and federal regulations including the FLSA, Title VII, OSHA, Workers Compensation, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Internal and External Audits; gathering requested information, identifying areas of concern, recommending initiatives to address areas of weakness.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborating with business leaders and HR team members to write, revise and maintain accurate job descriptions, supporting role leveling and job grading to ensure alignment with internal frameworks and market benchmarks.</p> </li><li> <p>Drafting Corporate Communications for HR Initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as the administrator for 401k Plan, which includes but is not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Supporting day-to-day 401(k) plan administration, including employee enrollments, employee deferral changes, employer contributions, and coordinating with the recordkeeper on routine questions. <p></p> </li><li> <p>Assisting with preparation for annual compliance testing and filings (e.g., Form 5500), with opportunities to learn regulatory requirements and best practices in retirement plan administration.</p> </li><li> <p>Attending quarterly 401(k) committee meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>Supporting annual internal and external audits of the plan.</p> </li><li> <p>Recruiting oversight for the Company.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee new hire and onboarding processes for regional employees including but not limited to, managing job postings, reviewing and evaluating applications, and collaborating with appropriate hiring managers.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs new hire orientation, ensuring proper payroll paperwork is completed and forwarded to payroll department, familiarizing new hire with applicable employment policies and benefits.</p> </li><li> <p>Receives and reviews Personnel Action Notices for completeness and appropriate approvals.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains regional employee files, original timesheets, payroll records, applications and affirmative action information.</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as business partner between Human Resources Department and regional employees.</p> </li><li> <p>Advises supervisors/managers on various employment issues, including deficient performance of employees and appropriate counseling/disciplinary measures, interpretation of employment policies, salary administration, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates salary administration, sending reminders to supervisors/managers when annual performance appraisals are due, reviewing all written performance appraisals for content and completeness, and advising managers of salary guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Keeps records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment for assigned region.</p> </li><li> <p>Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization for assigned region.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of seven to ten years' human resources experience. </li><li>A Minimum of three years' of employee relations experience required. </li><li>Previous experience with an HRIS system; direct experience with UKG preferred. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word. </li><li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. </li><li>PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification preferred. </li><li>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
